GPX file sent to those who asked for it. Works out around 100k and quite a bit of lane work in the second half (can't really be helped in that part of Wales).

Return journey should be shorter and I'm hoping we'll get back to Llangurig before noon on Sun.

Thanks for the route Stu, looks good

I need to sort the tubeless valve on one of my wheels, while I'm at it I'm wondering if it's worth changing to a more gravel/road based tyre.

Currently running HR2 and Ardent, which I find draggy on the road. Planning to stick on 2.1 Nanos. Any thoughts on how they might fare on the return leg and Strata Florida section?

The nature of the beast dicates that there'll still be quite a bit of tarmac (pretty much unavoidable near to the coast) on the way home. We'll turn off the Strata Florida track quite early going out, so should miss the 'worst' of it. Something less aggressive / draggy should be fine.

Not sure I'll be able to get away on time, but can you send me the GPX in case it does work out?

I've just knocked up something for the homeward leg. Roughly 60k but be warned, most is tarmac but it's nice quiet tarmac. I'll get it sent out to interested parties tomorrow.

Glad I spend the evening switching tyres then. Had to retape my front wheel twice in the end, the Nanos are on very tight. Hope that's fixed my front wheel problem

Still have a problem getting into my highest gear which isn't great for roads, but I'm going to be slow anyway!

I realised earlier it's only next weekend, time flies. The real problem is from next weekend the evenings are going to get shorter

I'd said sometime around 10.00pm Dave ... there shouldn't be any great need to rush.

Is it worth having a list of people planning to attend, so we know if the group at the start need to wait around a few minutes, or conversely can leave early

I'll start

Also Ben, if you still have the PHD down vest then could you bring that and I'll have that off you. We spoke about it briefly at WRT.
Cheers, chap!

Sorry people, I'm now officially out.

I have a flu-like virus which appears to be getting no better after 10 days. I thought I'd hang fire and see if it eases but I'm told it's being called, 'The 100 day cold' so I've plenty to look forward to. A pootle down the lane reveals that 200yds let alone 200k is quite an ask ... sorry.

Obviously my absence should have no bearing on events. You have a route and a vague plan, so enjoy. If you fancy wasting the good weather, the return leg puts you within a stones throw of Nant Rhys but there's lots of overnight options beforehand inc' the small woods at the bottom of the hill just as you enter the forest after crossing the wooden bridge.
