Re: Twixmas . . .
I've parked there before overnight and left a note in the window and mentioned at the centre with no problems.burty wrote:Does anyone know if they allow over night parking at elan valley visitor centre .

I'll be parking athe start of the cycle path at the edge of town but bypassing the visitor centre and heading round the other side of the reservoirs.
Re: Twixmas . . .
Like Taylor, iv left my car in the car park at the start or the cycle route just on edge of town a few times over night with no bother and also at the visitors centre down the side with no bother. Iv also abandoned it just before the vc over the river bridge by the toilet block it will be fine!! I don't think burgular bill has made it to that part of Wales yet it's a bit to wet for him
Have fun guys n gals....im sending some goodies with ione for you all in the bothy so enjoy :0) and see you all at the winter event

Sorry guys, inlaws are arriving tomorrow so I'll have to bail. Enjoy!
I’ve been abart a bit
Re: Twixmas . . .
Babysitting arrangements have fallen through at this end, so it'll just be me I think.
Will most likely ride from here, as I've not been out for a while and really need a good leg stretch...

8ish I think,
Myself, Taylor, Ian, Burty, Scattamah, Stevemorg, Blackhound and maybe another
If I have missed anyone off apologies - been rather caught up in Christmas.
If we meet another group there it may be a squeeze but I'm sure it'll be fine :)

Re: Twixmas . . .
I am not going to make it. I have not been well - although not particularly poorly either - for about 10 days. Tried a five mile ride this morning and was not strong. Better off staying at home and looking after myself. Have a great time those that get there.
Re: Twixmas . . .
Well, that was fun
Thanks to:
Ione for organising and plying us all with booze and cheese
Andy for the company on the ride out to the bothy
Paul and Taylor for being first there so the bothy was warm when we arrived
Jase for turning up late(r than everyone else)
Steve for the lift back from Rhayader
