Just had a nice afternoon doing some WWB recon'. Found a lovely old road that luckily meets up with another old track that crosses the hills ... hopefully it'll be something new for all and very pleasant. :-bd

Any idea what sort of start time we're looking at?

Also, are there going to be other slowish riders on this one? I'm still in a really bad state after my illness, but I'd like to try to get around. :(

Usually say mid-day Richard ... slow? Oh yes

Route's looking to be around 80km all in with something like 1600m of ascent. Still have one setion to check out but it shouldn't alter much if at all.

Was just wondering if you were planning on going to a pub with WIFI Stu so those of us at family do's could be skyped in?

Yeah, should get something to eat although it might be a late afternoon rather than evening stop.

Final recon this afternoon to see whether a section of track is actually a track or simply a green dash on the map ... surprisingly, upon investigation, it transpires that for once the green dash is in fact a rather nice 'track'. I wouldn't have bothered looking usually but it was a good excuse to escape the fitting of new bathroom for a few hours. Did me good, I can tell ya.

Nice one Stu,
Pretty sure me, Mike and Chickenlegs will ride over to the start.

I need to get home mid - late afternoon on Sunday, so will get the train, probably from Newtown.

Good stuff. I'll need to be back at a reasonable hour so will aim to get the biggest percentage of miles put away on Sat.
