Parking sorted..

Right its fine to leave our cars at the crem, when you arrive just make sure we are all down the back of the carpark near the trees on the left as you drive in. The entrance for it is off A494 from Bala on ya left ( u will go over a river bridge on a left hand bend ) just before the turning into the village. You cant miss it!! Oh and the pub is about 50 yards further on see u in there.

Ta for sorting

I might make it for dinner.

Starting at 11pm makes me think, we’re absolutely bonkers. Most normal people (tourers) would start in the morning; only a nutters group of bikepackers would be daft enough to start at night.

Are we riding into the night on Sat night? Just planning how many light batteries I need.

I'll not say it's exactly 'friendly' but it'd be alright.

it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.

Most of it would be ok ul get a battering on some of it and u will be walking down some of the really good descents on skinny tires. I'm sure I'd rather have gears though than none ;)

I'm going to put it out there and say definitely pub. Because I'm not carrying food  we have options depending on how battered folk are having stayed up since Fri morning. But I reckon a cheeky hr power nap might be a good call sat morn while we wait for the cafés to open up

I can highly recommend long socks to for Fri evening there is one area I recall where our legs will get a hammering from the stingers oh and a section of singletrack that the gorse will rip us to shreds I think I'm still getting the ends out of my fingers! Long sleeve gloves for that section. One last thing, the midges where ok 2 weeks ago but the bloody cleggs where proper feasting on us so defo bug spray I'd say. well if I've not put u off with all that see u tomorrow evening for some fun!! It's a cracking route and I'm sure u will all love it even the hard bits. There is even a good swimming spot to cool off of folk wanna pack some swimwear!

Pretty much sorted for tomorrow

Am bringing the water purifier; an MSR Guardian, so should suffice for group use.

Also on a gravel bike.

Aim to leave work at 16:45.
Might make it in time for food.

Are we riding through the night Saturday?

Off to Tesco for munchies

No, Fri will be sufficient. Sat will be a bivvy.

So the old lady has just called me to confirm we r not sleeping in our cars overnight on the car park then at the end she said after the council meeting they asked if we were happy to make a donation to the church. So if everyone is happy to do that park there if not there's plenty of other parking on the road or at the other end of the village.

Thanks for organising (I think)

Driving back with no air con was particularly unpleasant, that’s going to be an interesting conversation with the Ford garage tomorrow

Given the lack of volume packed by all of you; it would useful to know: what sleeping mat were you using?
Didn’t think mine was particularly bulky
