The gravel ride is worth a punt to
A Message from Richard Munro: Hello all you beautiful people we have just about sold out of camping tickets so thank you for that! Getting to the campsite follow the postcode LA89JF which will lead you to Kentmere Rd, as you leave Staveley up the Kentmere Valley it is the 2nd bridge on your right not the first one as that will just lead you to a dead end!!!!About one mile from Staveley you will see the field(campsite) on the left hand side. If we could fill the areas around the perimetre first it will help to make the most of the camping field if you are in a group and would like to camp together I suggest you park in the middle. Quiet familly camping will be on the right, turn right as you enter the field. Unfortunately I have been unable to get the field cut and the grass is quite long so I suggest you bring wellies or water proof shoes for first thing in the morning due to the dew.
Friday 6.30pm ride out from the Eagle and Child pub £10 ticket gets you drinks and supper back at the pub all money goes to the Sam Houghton cancer Charity. 50mile Bikepacking route leaving the campsite at 6.30pm mass start. Chill out at the campsite firepits and tunes pizza coffee no beer will be served bring your own.

10am several rides 3 Mountainous routes 3 low level routes most of these rides will have riders on it that know the area well and will be riding the routes if you wish to join them you are quite welcome to join them. If you have a good ride buy them a beer at the end. Remember this
It is impossible for us to say whether a particular route is suitable for you. It is your sole responsibility to decide whether to ride a route and you do so entirely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to research every route, download a GPX file, take traditional OS maps, carry the correct gear, ensure that your bike is safe for purpose, check the mountain weather and let someone know where you are heading and your estimated return time. Please use common sense and help us cut down on Mountain Rescue call outs.

Looks like the Adventure cycle Festival has cancelled this weekends do.
Looks like having two similar events at the same time doesn't work

The events are very different ,mine is more riding bikes than hearing people talk about them, mine only came about when somebody asked me to do an event as they had heard Brathay were cancelling but they were very late to the show selling tickets.
It was never a competion and i will hopefully be helping them out in April.

I wasn't suggesting it was a competition between the two events but having 2 'similar' do's close to each other wasn't the best move imo.

Well the forecast looks great so I'm sure you'll have a successful weekend and I'm gutted I'm not able to come over for it.
