North Wales This Weekend

If anyone is wandering about NW this weekend, I'll be taking two friends from Ireland out on a bit of a romp.

Starting at Deiniolan - over to Bethesda - Ogwyn - Dulyn for the night. Sat back via Trefriw, Capel Curig, Dolwyddlen, Nantgwynant, wander up part of Snowdon after 1700, bivi. Early wake up, push, down the Rangers to Llanberis then back up to the car via Dinorwig.

If you see two men cursing at me, please feel free to join in.

I'm sure they'll be fine....probably.

Heading to the Lakes, otherwise I'd have been in the locality again.

Ruthie's keen to wild camp more, so would've been heading back to Tryfan.

I'd have said yes to "some" of that, but I'm heading down the Clwyds this weekend I think. If I get a pass from SWMBO of course.

I used to live in the Clwyds, great riding there.

It's the dairi-pak challenge tomorrow morning at Rhiwlas, near Oswestry. 22m across the Berwyns in aid of the air ambulance..forecast looks ok.

Good trip had by all.

Weather on Friday was pretty shocking., Arrived to the bothy with 2 degree air temperature in hammering rain. Was happy for the cover provided.

Saturday was stunning. Bluebird day. Guys got tired after 50km of techy stuff so we opted to stop in Nant Peris for food (beer).

Sunday an easy pootle to Llanberis and food, then up through Dinorwig to the car and some coffee.
