Tony, I've been out and stayed in Oudenaarde to ride with mates (we stayed in a hotel in the town centre and rode loads of cobbles for a few days). Followed loads of very quiet back lanes around the cobbled sections used on the Tour of Flanders (http://www.fietsroute.org/cycling/route ... f-Flanders)
I've also stayed in Ghent and done the Tour of Flanders sportive - this was good but bloody freezing they year I did it... thank god it was dry! There are pubs in Ghent with over 200 beers on the menu :-bd
I was planning on doing the Dirty Boar last year - more offroad and you should be able to find a GPX (http://www.dirtyboar.be/) - couple of events this year too.
A good tour of the Abbey brewers would be great - the beer is bloody strong mind ;-)
Hope that helps - great place to cycle (lunches when riding were great and everyone was very welcoming)

We had out ‘spring’ tour out to Ypres

If you’re in Ypres go here:
http://de-hopperie.business.site
Large selection of beers

Highly recommend you visit here:

You’ll enjoy the 12% Trappist beers :-bd

In Ypres we stopped at the Hotel O Leper
Cheap and cheerful. Lots of secure storage for bikes and in the centre of town

Hi Ton

We have just come back from riding the 140 mile Tour of Flanders route and it being a stag do so we did a bit too much beer'n'bikes......

We stayed near Antwerp for ride then spent 2 nights in Bruges, which is a brilliant place for beers, really good to visit the De Halve Moon brewery where i'd recommend the XL Tour round which gives you about 6 beers to taste for 19 Euros for tour.

Can also really recommend the bars Le Trappiste and De Garre bars both more beer than you could ever get through (or remember drinking) beautiful city and easy to get around by bike and not far at all from either Roubaix or Tour of Flanders areas, i can send you .gpx files for both the Tour of Flander and Paris-Roubaix sportives?

Two other options would be to look at the Malteni Gravel Ridrs route, which was an off road route which also took in the cobbles of Flanders and Roubaix

https://www.maltenibeer.com/malteni-gravel-race

And further south we have been looking at doing this ride, 200 miles linking up three of the Belgian trappiste breweries:

Worth maybe speaking to Roy McNeill of UK Fat Bike club he loves all things Belgian
