Sorry to hear it didn’t work out Karl. As others have said, it’s a great route and one that I will hopefully have another go at later in the year.

Good effort Karl, it'll be nice and warm and dry for the group start so have another shot then

It's been snowing again that way today so scratching was the right choice

As a crazy coincidence, this was the weekend when I tried and failed at the Borders 220. Horrible conditions and slow going, I got to Greensykes last night to a roaring fire, and with a heavy snowfall overnight the miles and miles of gravel to look forward to was mushy and slow. Game over when I got to the A7, then I just rolled back on the road (still another 50 miles though).

Having done the Beeftub push twice, will I do it again?

Unfortunately Karl the winds were very much against you. The prevailing winds blow the other way 80% of the time so would normally prove to be an asset.
Glad to hear you'll be back, :-bd .

Karl, good to hear :-bd

Quite sobering stats for this route given I'm signed up for the Group 350 and I'm not as fit as I have been the last couple of years! Surely the conditions will be kinder in July.....

Ray - I've never used SpotWalla - but thought Karl's page with the route in red is great. Are you planning any shared Location Page for the Group starts or is everyone just doing their own thing?
