Okay then people - I was planning to conduct a little recce ride but it appears that the weather has put pay to that plan. So, with the spirit of adventure in our hearts we'll simply crack on regardless.

WHEN? Sat the 16th of Dec. I suggest noon(ish).

WHERE? Carpark at SO 194593 along the A44 a couple of km east of Llanfihangel-Nant-Melan. Mike assures me that it isn't a dogging carpark ... despite his best efforts.

The ride will be a mixture of known and unknown, so there may be surprises for all including me. However, I can say that there'll be some uphill bits and some downhill bits. It'll be longer than 2km and shorter than 200. There's a couple of pub options along the way but pack like there isn't :wink:

Obviously any moaning about the route or anything else, will, in accordance with tradition be met with a robust yet christmassy f*ck off. Festive type adornments are not compulsory but always worth the effort.

Bring lights - it'll get dark at some point.
Bring your tarp - we have no yurts, log stores or teepees.

There you go, we've now got a fully functioning plan to f*ck up between us :-bd

Ooh, I feel that I should just add some additional points;

* All welcome - hopefully, goes without saying but thought I'd say it anyway.
* Group moves at the pace of the slowest which as I haven't really ridden for 2 months will be me.
* Bring a sense of humour or at least a covering wry smile for any awkward moments.

I'd hoped to turn up but the snow this past weekend meant that she who must be obeyed has moved our christmas family trip to next weekend

Some lovely riding around that area. Used to enjoy the Rough Rides based out of Kington and mainly along tracks to the south of that spot. The BOAT from that carpark was closed a while back due to landslide but I believe is all open again now. Have fun, shame I shall be working this Saturday :sad:
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

There are 2 carparks the first one is just off the road. And if we all park close we will fit there if not the other one is only 1/2 mile up track into forest , see you all there at 12 I might get there a bit earlier and see if the pub is open in new radnor for coffee first if anyone's there early. Let's hope most of the snow has gone :-bd
