I've known about this for a while but was sworn to keep my mouth shut. 'Tis the Stooge SpeedBall, this is obviously a Ti version but there will be a steel variant appearing at some point - It'll no doubt polarise opinion but me, I really like it.

Yes, been admiring pictures of this the last couple of days (the singlespeed version in the background belongs to a friend).
The tubes may be to give a degree of compliance to the ride (think Jeff Jones). Or they may just be a design statement....

The seat stays don't look like they are welded to the seat tube so I'd imagine its been designed like that to give it a lot of natural compliance.

The frame is effectively a massive un-dampened spring.

There must be some serious weight in the front end though, just look at the way it's cracked the floor in that first picture...

p.s. there's a couple of braces welded just behind the seat tube to the 'seat stays'.

According to Mr Stooge, the frame has zero vertical compliance. Has anyone seen any geo figures?

I've been wanting to try a truss fork on my Stooge. I hope there'll be a steel truss available for retro-fitting

I thought it looked closer to the stuff produced by Oddity Cycles than Jones. The other thing that people are quick to labour is that the Stooge ride is nothing like that of a Jones, but having never ridden a Jones I can't comment.
