My AliExpress Trailstar turned up. Impressed with it so far, quick pitch in the garden looks promising. Will post up a pic

If you move the front guy round one position, you can pitch it with a nice wide open front but still retain plenty of coverage - like this.

Good to know, might try that, thanks.

Took me a few goes to get the pegging out points right, I'm sure there's a knack

The 110cm pole I have could definitely do with being a touch higher though, will be fine with a walking pole. No problem with the 100cm one for the front.

Think it could also do with being seam sealed but I need to wait for a warmer day to have a crack at that

Pegs seem OK, not brilliant but better than expected. Shelter and bag weigh in at 600g, pegs on top. Bag is a touch small, easy to fix that.

Also came with a long strap that I thought was the guy line for the front entrance but it's not. Not sure what it's for... Doesn't match any of the other guy lines

Linelocs are good, easily as good as the ones on my MLD stuff from first inspection

That's interesting - might try that on my cuben version, as it seems to pitch with steep sides (and narrow doorway) if you want to get the fabric taut all round with no flappage

Oh, and what poles you recommend..
100cm for the 'door' and 120cm for the centre ... or the other way round for really poor conditions.

A replacement for my broken Wahoo Speed / Cadence sensor. Took nearly two months to get sorted.

Really dismal customer support. Possibly the worst I've ever experienced.

Hopefully my copy of Joining The Dots will be waiting for me at home

To my work the postman has brought me some shorter spokes for the right side of my dynamo wheel. The hub (SP PDX8) has been exchanged under warranty and the returned unit is the current hub which has a larger flange on the right side than the original version, so the old spokes are too long. Just a heads up to anyone else who sends one back to measure the flange sizes and spacings before you do so you can check if the original spokes can be used on the rebuild.
