Now't to do with bike packing but a new snowboard & bindings arrived from a nice shop in France.
Only have to wait a week to use it though. :-bd

I'd heard that the weather in the UK was crap atm but snowboarding in August!?
It's been in the early 30°'s here for the last 3-4 weeks, you must be going somewhere exotic?

Some new parts for the Pipedream and some tools to replace the ones that were stolen from my shed. Love the Thomson post, it exudes quality right down to the bag it comes in (and the price!)

1x9 with a mix of everything between Alevio and XTR, can't seem to get in to run right so some fine tuning required but a blast round the carpark suggests it'll be a fun wee bike, looking forward to taking it on some adventures

Those bars look so wide I'm not sure they'd fit down any doubletrack! Coupled with the long steerer it makes an interesting combo!

I had another rucksack delivered yesterday - I think this now might take me above 20 in total...

Evoc FR Enduro Blackline - impressed so far

Also had my Crikey, how much kit delivery through
- Brevet gilet - I have one of these already, this one is in a different colour
- LS merino base - though it's going to have to go back, arms are way too short
- packable rucksack - it's a nice little pack but it's not as packable as my other rucksacks (3!) so probably won't get used enough to justify the price. It looks smart though and the reflective bit is a very nice touch

The bars are 730mm, they look wider because of the angle of the picture and they have the bar ends on them, the steerer does look daft but my hacksaw got stolen as well so I couldn't cut it down!

A lovely 122.5cm carbon pole from our Stu for the Deschute-a-like from Aliexpress. Super speedy service from the depths of Wales :-bd

Pitching schweet now though this also might be as I have fathomed how the front guyline works

A bunch of Defeet goodies for my meatslabs...box of Clif bars...brake pads.
Outside of stuff for 2 wheeled tramping...a VESA stand to get the screen off the desk and a 24-channel control surface for my other hobby. Let the hacking commence.

Third one now. Green one offered to someone of this parish on first refusal at a silly price.

This is now the third Spearfish I've oned.
Non SP, SP mk 1 (broke that and got an update a year later) now the carbon one.

Honestly? The best full sus platform XC bike I've ever owned and ridden for how I ride. Epic, owned - not as good. Spark, owned - not as good. Kone Hei Hei - ridden, love it, but not quite as good.

I have no idea WTF Salsa are going to discontinue the Spearfish, really. WTF are you at!

Defiant Pack medium seat bag, after useful responses to a wanted ad here (thanks). This is almost perfect, simple strapping with roll-end, 3l size for summer super-light overnighters or carrying an insulated gilet/jacket and some food on longer day-into-evening type rides. As much as I like the Wildcat Tiger and much prefer that system for carrying 5-10l bags, this mini version of a trad seatpack is an easier solution for fewer things in a smaller pack. Pic here is rolled almost right down with just a primaloft gilet and a few bars in. From backcountry.scot.

Interesting. I know what you mean about the Tiger and dry bag - there's a lower limit to the volume it works with and you end up looking for stuff to put in there to make it work, even on the HT550 I was looking to see what else I could put in there. I've the larger, Drover, model but the smaller Wayfarer does go down to 3 litres. The Tiger's not best for quick access whilst riding either, but that's no different to any harness + bag setup.

A Snozzle ML to replace the one I punctured the other week but hardly exciting.

Not the postman but a shop, I hope to make some very interesting bivi photos.

RaceFace Stash bib liners.

I've always fancied the concept but not prepared to pay to try it. A sale at Evans and a need to replace some liner shorts means I now own a pair.

It says Vapour Carbon and traffic orange on the box... but given the trend in oversize packaging these days, it's probably a headset spacer.

Better eyes than mine!

Nice! I think Simon has one of those too. Either that or he took that one out for a spin before posting it :o
