An 18mm cone spanner.

That means I can service my XTR hubs. Assuming they're OK then I don't need to buy new hubs for my road-plus wheels and I don't get caught in the horrible choice of blue, black or silver.

Adidas Terrex Protect shoes. Look great for summer riding on flats. Pedals that is, not trails. We hate flats trails...

A customer sent us beer. Made our week that did and saved them 10% on all future quotations.

Maybe it's one of these things you start to appreciate when you get older...

I collected from the warehouse to save a few quid... but it was a parcel! Sale bargains from Polaris. Waterproof shorts, gloves for my dad (sadly a bit small for me), lovely knee warmers, merino stripy socks and some foot oil. The oil was free with the socks but is great.

They are good but.....I used to get numb hands after about 5 miles, tried jones bars, answer 20/20 bars, high rise stems ect. Salsa woodchippers did it for me.

Don't think the wood chippers would work on my longitude ,and I don't think sore hands will pass with the wife as a excuse for another bike, although I have been perving over a genesis vagabond just means the bouncy bike will have to go

Carbon bars also helped, although they don’t appear to flex much when you lean on them it’s enough to take some of the sting out.

It's Scotland, it's winter for 9 months of the year and rain/midges for the remainder...

(I really do hope there's still snow at the end of March, it's the last weekend available for winter skills courses)
