Sent to me today...

...unfortunately not in the flesh, but it certainly looks interesting. All in one tool the size of a credit card, anyone? A bit spendy though....

I've seen a few of those and always wondered how well they'd hold up in the wild.

Certainly doesn't fit in the Bargain Alert Thread :o
I'd include it in the list of the save grammes spend ££££ products where the just blow your nose before you set off adage applies. (Yes there is a swearier version involving having a dump)

I can't see anything on it I'd actually use. As an SPD user even the bottle opener wouldn't get used.

Yeah, the design approach on those things always seems to be "how what tools can we make out of flat plate and how many can we squeeze in?" rather than "what tools might someone actually need?"

In this case, they've added an extra design stage: "how much can we fleece people for on the basis it's made out of the same steel as helicopter blades?"

15mm, 13mm, 10mm, standard hex wrenches. Probably not optimal for a lot of folks. I seem to reach for 3, 4 and 5mm more often than not.

I took "standard hex wrenches" to mean spanners. Which is probably also an apt term for anyone who does buy one of these abominations.

You could well be right there. I wouldn't buy one myself as I'm content with a Hexus II...but it's always interesting to see what folks are coming up with. Perhaps some day someone will get it right. If they'd made the round stabilisers hex shaped in the right values...

Saw a credit card sized one of these in Leeds for £4. OK it didn't have the extra reversible bit but even so that's a big price difference
