Garmin etrex 20 problem.

My etrex 20 is failing to record distance properly, it's says I'm doing far less than I actually am. Can I do a hard re set to try and fix it or are there any other options?

When my Etrex gets weird, I do a full reset on it. Bit of faff to restore your defaults, but does seem to clear away write-to-disk errors.
