It's doable in 3 big days, or 2.5 very big days, but only with good ground......

It's Wales. We get firm ground for about 4 days a year.

Any more thoughts on when this might be? Putting my calendar together and might try to leave a space for it.

Unlikey to happen before the end of summer Richard. Most that would start have probably committed to the 150 and the Dales Divide. Given that it's a ride that no one's going to complete over a 2 day weekend and our lack of bank holidays that aren't spoken for, it may not happen at all but we'll see.
May the bridges you burn light your way

To be honest, I kinda figured it would be a time off work affair given the length. :)
Re: Big Bear group start next year?
Assuming I do the HT, then I'll be aiming for a group start of 1 in April - probably a weekday and weekend affair - can make it a group start of 2 or more if anyone else is keen and the dates line up

I'd potentially be up for that Steve, dates allowing.
April 11th start perhaps?

I'd be tempted, but at this point it's very unlikely I'll have any sort of fitness back by then.

Hi, I'm also looking at doing the Big Bear. Only problem is I have only 3 days in a row.
Looking at the last 2 weekends in March and starting from Machynlleth, which gives me around 70 hours (counting sleeping) and train tickets are cheaper. Who is up for it?
Edit to add that starting from Caersws gives me another extra hour. It's the stop before Machynlleth

Well, if anyone here could possibly do it in that time, it's you!
Re: Big Bear group start next year?
Javi, you could do it in 3 days. I did 200 miles of it in 2 easy days a couple of years ago - with a bit more effort and efficient riding it could be sub 3 days....
Re: Big Bear group start next year?
Im planning on doing it again this year, prob not as a ITT start though just when I feel motivated to give it another go. Possibly in march
