I know a guy called Steve who modified a Land Rover in a similar fashion.
He then drove it across Russia and ‘drove’ it across the bearing strait to the USA. The only person to ever do so I believe

That would be Steve Burgess who is Nicky Spinks' partner in doing crazy stuff. Both were acquaintances before we left Yorkshire for Cataluna and occasional visitors at our local pub.

I did a 10 mile stretch along the canal on the yestribe waterbike on a waterbike (bit different to that one) https://sayyesmore.com/waterbikecollective/ they are a great idea but it had issues (getting caught on reeds, deflating etc) it was hard work!
