2 weeks ago I got caught in some truly Welsh weather while riding in the dales. After waiting under a shop canopy for 40 mins for a biblical downpour to slow to the speed of normal rain I bumped into an old workmate who I've not seen for 3 years (last time I saw him it was also on a ride in the NY moors).
After a very welcome brew and catch up, Jeff said "take my landline number, just in case". And i thought, thanks but I'm clearly not going to need this Jeff........
Half an hour and one snapped rear axle later I was really glad we'd met up! Jeff to the rescue with a lift to driffield station. Top guy!
