He's on trackleaders now, http://trackleaders.com/tourdivide18i.p ... Beltchenko - A run at the GDMTBR record, border to border, northbound. Anyone know what the current fastest time is? With all the focus on the TDR it's probably wide open for a rider of his ability.
Interested to see if this re-ignites interest in the old GDR race and ethics.

I thought it was no tracking? Or is it no outside communication?race and ethics
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: Neil Beltchenko - GDMTBR dot-watching
No outside communications mainly, I'm not sure there was any tracking back then? Not sure how many used GPS then either. But it wasn't that long ago. i've probably got some really minimal, romanticised view of how the race was run then.

I don't think you have. I recall that is was properly off-grid, stripped to the bone and below most radari've probably got some really minimal, romanticised view of how the race was run then.

There was no tracking or call ins IIRC.
I do hope Neil has a good run though.
