Dynamo hub charge controller recommendation please

Post by Asposium »

Finally considering a dynamo wheel; I know, shocking.
Hub will likely be a SON 28.
Will only be charging an Anker USB pack. No front light.
Not so sure about what charge controller; though Sinewave Revolution seems favourite.
So, what controller are people using?
Would you recommend said controller?

Igaro D1.
Mine is an older version and I can't fault it.
It connects up. Charges and gives me no problems.
It also switches between a road oriented bike and my Krampus regularly and relatively easily.
The newer Igaro has even better functionality.
The company is very good to deal with too.
They took mine back to solder a new connector to it - so it would work with some of their new add ons - FOR FREE

I’ve had my b&m ewerk for almost 10 years. It just works, plus you can output different voltages and current. Their cache battery is pretty crappy though, so I run it through a zendure for anything that’s constant input fussy like the iPhone.

It’s been fine on sp8/8x, son28 and love mud hubs.

They do a version now that is just usb 5v output and has a cache battery built in.

B+M USB-Werk maybe. Cheaper than the E-Werk and all you need for most charging duties. Had one almost 4 years now, charges phone/gps/camera easily, has been faultless.
