FYI Tubolito repair kit

Post by lune ranger »

Thought people may like to know what a Tubolito Flix Kit repair kit consists of.
It's simply a few pieces of (badly hand) cut McNett Gear Aid tape and some alcohol wipes. 5 pieces each.
For the price of the official kit you could make half a dozen similar kits with bits from eBay. :o
If you are going through hell, keep going.

That's very useful because I forgot to order one and have the tape. Thanks!

Been interested in the Tubolito, but struggling to find anywhere reputable looking that stocks them.
I don't tend to do Fleabay much these days as I prefer to pay a little more for the piece of mind that I am not buying junk copies or stolen gear!

I bought a couple off bike-discount.de. I'm not sure what counts as "reputable" though.

I suppose for a consumable item like tubes, if it is delivered quickly and is what it claims to be, then that's good enough!

Looks like bike-discount have re-stocked MTB tubes, but can't find an option for wider 70c tyre (30-40mm). I guess a 29" tube would fit, but a bit over-kill.
