Well started the Exante 800 calorie on(man plan) on Monday. Thought I would give it a shot at kickstarting my weight loss again. 238 lbs today. Weighed myself on Monday at 248 lbs after a weekend of piggery in preparation, I’ll try it for a month and see how it goes.

Week 28 weigh-in tomorrow on Friday 13th :o

Good luck!

I'm still on holiday (and diet holiday :???: ) Knee replacement is Tuesday, so there's a good chance I won't be posting/reminding next Thursday, so if some one else wants to feel free :-bd

I've decided to ignore my f*ck*ed house and get back to training. Hopefully that will also mean getting back to sorting my diet too.

18/5/18 74.1 kg (163.4 lbs)
25/5/18 73.7 kg (162.5 lbs)
1/6/18 -
8/6/18 73.7 kg (162.5lbs)
15/6/18 -
22/6/18 -
29/6/18 72.9 kg (160.38)
6/7/18 -
13/7/18 72.2 kg (158.84).

Chuffed to say I've hit my first target of 72.5kg which is me not being overweight (by bmi). I know bmi's a bit rubbish but it'll do for now.

Weird to think I'm carrying around the equivalent of 7.4 less (fewer?) 1kg bags of sugar than at the start of the year!

Keep at it all. :-bd

Things are all good now hopefully next weigh in the weight will be on the move.

*** House Stops Play - Thanks Barattt you wankers ***
14/07/2018 - 67.1kg (+1.2kg)

I guess at least I'm not heavier than when I started, though I know during that break I did hit 71kg at one point. =/

Edit - By the way, house is still a long way from being sorted, but I've pretty much had to just ignore the problems now and get back to training.

06/07 67.5 (148.8)
13/07 66.6 (146.8)
20/07 67.2 (148.1)

The first week of maintenance doesn't seem to have gone well - it's been a very hectic week so too many takeaways.

From what I understand you'll likely go up a bit at first on maintenance as you'll take on more water with the 'higher' level of food.

I know its over simplistic, but to add 1.3lb of fat in the week would mean ~4500cals over and above maintenance level for the week. I guess only you know if might have eaten to that excess.

Conversely 1.3lb only just over half a litre of water. I peed 2l through last night (in a bottle as can't get to loo), so in theory I lost at least 2kg lying in bed for 10hours lol!

I've gone from a 1500 calorie daily target (with extra calories for exercise) to a 1900 calorie target (+ exercise) and I actually averaged about 1800 calories for the week so either my body is very sensitive to calorific changes or I'd presume you're right and it's just the extra carbs leading to more water rentention.

230 lbs today, Have upped calories to about 1100 this week as feeling lighthead when standing up quickly and work has been busy. Food week this week, planning to stick to Exante but have proper meals at night. As a treat I’m having a beer tonight  Target now 15 stone. Going to try some Huel gruel too, as a lunch replacement,

That's not a calorie thing generally. The fitter I get the more that happens to me.

At full race fitness I black out fairly regularly (my blood pressure gets insanely low). I have to be really careful getting up / if I go for a leak in the night.

Oh, and make sure you're properly hydrating!

Fair point Richard, my blood pressure was about 135/94 now its down to 128/83 so still a bit high.
Just had my yearly medical MOT and everything is looking good the Nurse reckoned a low blood sugar could cause lightheadedness. Definitely noticed a lack of strengh, especially upper body, legs still turning well and upped training to include 4 mile runs. Cycling mostly roadwork just 18 mile loop around where I live. Aim to increase mileage on and off road but lost my mojo for a while but getting it back as the weight falls. VLCD is just a kickstart, maintenance will be the issue. Onwards and upwards :-bd Beer tasting lovely
