219, +1.4lb

Not good and no excuses really other than been struggling after this operation and eating crap as a consequences. Pain, lack of sleep and a bit down.

Need to give myself a kick up the arse and get back to it :-bd

226 lbs. Weekend away, so diet on hold. Getting below 16st is proving to be a pain.

05-1-18 - 111kg or 244.5lbs
12-1-18 - 110.5kg or 243.6lbs

15-06-18 - 113.8kg or 250lbs
22-06-18 - 113.7kg or 249.8lbs
29-06-18 - 113.5kg or 249.7lbs
(06-07-18 - 114kg - didn't post last week)

20-07-18 - 111.5kg or 245lbs

27-08-18 - 112kg or 246lbs
07-09-18 - 112.5kg or 248lbs

Parp!!!

No real change but then again no real surprise as I'm continuing to ride lots but eating/drinking enough to offset this.

Leaving Sunday for a 5 day ~500km tootle around the Veneto Gravel route which should be fun.

Will be very leisurely and relaxing holiday of a trip but I'm hoping to shed a couple of kgs at the same time :-bd

Well with several weeks without any real riding and lacking in motivation for any kind of exercise or healthy eating I stepped on the scales yesterday, tentatively.
Ive gained 10lbs over the weeks so now weighing 16st 10lbs.
I'm trying to work myself up to making the needed changes to get my weight down again.

I've not posted for a few weeks...put weight on ( not the end of the world)
But more importantly left knee seems to be shot, just going to work and living is hard
Enough without getting on a bike :|

Sorry to hear that

My right knee has sympathy with your left. Just a temporary injury I hope, not something more serious?

First weigh in (I normally do a rolling average), shows me as up nearly 4kg. lol

Will be interesting to see how much of that is my normal puffyness after stopping.

Nhs we're going to 'do' my knee about 11 years ago, I couldn't afford the time off then...now,
they have changed their criteria for doing the op and won't do it till I'm 60 ? They're keeping
Me on pain killers and anti inflam's, at the mo it's painful and swollen nearly every day, my last
Ride took 10 days to get over, going to book an appointment back with the Dr's to see what they
Say. Had multiple x-rays 2 years ago and they said it's 'normal ' Arthritus not the RA they started
Testing me for

I guess it must depend on your authority or consultant. Age wasn't even mentioned with my partial replacement (wasn't sure if it'd be total or partial when I went in) and I'm 48 yo. You need to go back and give the quality of life issue a big push, keeping your job, depression, not being able to do family?/social activities, deteriorating physical ability.

Took me a year after referal to get to see consultant, but then op was 2 months later. I was desperate enough to look at going private and paid £400 for consultant but then couldn't stomach £12k for the op. But he did get on to NHS and basically tell them to get tell them to get on with it as this guy is in danger of been a bigger drain on the dole with no job and depression from pain and lack of life. I consider it £400 well spent in that regard.

Hope you can get sorted. I'm still recovering, but even now better than pre-op.

I'm intrigued (but ultimately not overly concerned) about tomorrow's weigh in.

4 long days spent riding and eating/drinking should have changed something but whether it'll be up or down remains to be seen.....

Ok, this is getting weird, no?

At least I can now rule out beerpacking as a new revolutionary weight loss regime (a shame as it's a lovely way to pass the days).

Back to the old fashioned way of trying to eat less /do more (boring!).....

215.6lb, plus 1.6lb. I've been pretty good too  but my body seems to be all over the place :|

Fairly up and down physically and emotionally with this knee recovery.
