Week 30 tomorrow! :-bd

Managed to turn the pedals on the turbo today so did 5 mins. About 30w, 30rpm and 0.7km too little for zwift to save    Still wasn't sure I'd even turn them!

I'll probably weigh in and start again next Friday; it'll be depressing I know that!

Have a heart - you've just had a knee replaced! If there's any weight gain it's probably the effects of the pain killers. Mine bunged me right up when I got my hip done.

No, I know! To even get on the bike never mind turn the pedals at 10days post op is doing bloody well

Yeh, I have a yummy laxative drink daily to counter act the painkiller bunging effects.

Cheers

13/07 66.6 (146.8)
20/07 67.2 (148.1)
27/07 66.9 (147.5)

Kept on the maintenance level so things seem to be settling down now.

27-07-18 - 111.2kg or 244.5lbs

Again, thought it might have been lower this week.

I can only assume I'm putting on muscle mass as well as losing fat.

A few good rides this week, one very lovely high altitude trail run and a few sessions in the skatepark.

All good though as still getting lower :-bd

28/07/2018 - 66.4kg (-0.5kg)

Was losing weight a bit too quickly at the start of the week but adjusted a bit and I'm fairly happy with progress now. I'm thinking of getting somewhere between 64kg and 65kg and trying to maintain there. The longer term plan will be to see if I can improve my power output and stay around the same weight.

Week 31 tomorrow folks :-bd

We seem a bit thin on the ground lately. I assume it's summer holidays and the like.

I'll scare myself and weigh back in tomorrow

Not much of note this week other than I consumed more than I'd planned due to having mates out staying with us.

Back to good behaviour from tomorrow.....

Well I was brave and stepped on...
Back up to 214.8lb. Not as bad as I'd feared considering my knee replacement, lack of movement and excess of crap eaten as I've just felt too buggered (and drugged up) to be arsed.

Any back on the wagon!

Physio, a few few minutes turbo and a couple of short hobbles are all I can manage so got to crack the whip on the food front!

Onward! :-bd

I guess i’ll be fluctuating either side of 67 kg for a while depending on how much chocolate i’ve had that week

Your weight is incredibly stable there. I think I fluctuate more than that in an average day!

I think everyone does which is why you generally want to weigh yourself at the same time every week while wearing the same thing to cut out those variables. I often check on a thursday night before bed to see how I've done for the week and I've been anything up to 0.6kg lighter when I've weighed myself at my usual time on friday morning. The only time I'm not lighter is when I've had to get up with one of the gruesome twosome at some early hour so I've already had 2 or 3 coffees and two breakfasts by 7.

That's what I mean though. I weigh myself every single day first thing on waking... and I often have anywhere up to a 1.5kg difference from the day before.

I couldn't imagine having weekly readings anywhere near as stable as that (hell, even my averaged readings wouldn't be that stable).

I also think it's weird. I think it's just coincidence as I've been doing good and bad things that affect my weight recently and so I would expect things to be all over the place and I think they are but weirdly the end result just happened to be about the same.

I usually gain/lose weight really quickly and so this static figure is particularly odd for me.

228 this week  Due mainly to working away, getting shafted by management and having a major blow out with workmates to bitch about them  Back to the diet tomorrow.

212lb, so -2.8lb this week :-bd

A good chunk will be genuine loss of post op inflammation. I've not eaten that clean and exercise is non-existant

Had to stop trying to do much (hobbles to the shop, 10min turbos) due to pain and swelling afterwards and through the night. So life is sofa and bed with my physio exercises and what ever pottering about the house I need to do to let my tendons and muscles heal. Seems even though I managed to get back on the turbo for Short very easy sessions its not sensible just now. Good to know I have the ROM though.

You tracking food to maintain or just trying to do it by 'intuition'?

I tend to go through the day on intuition and then at the end of the day tot it all up to see how I did. One thing the whole exercise has done has made me think before I grab a snack - my meals are generally healthy so for me it’s all about controlling my snacking. Conversely, I don’t eat anything like enough when I go out for a 2+ hour ride.
