06/01/2018 - 67.6kg
13/01/2018 - 67.3kg (-0.3kg)
20/01/2018 - 67.0kg (-0.3kg)
27/01/2018 - 66.8kg (-0.2kg)
10/02/2018 - 67.3kg (+0.5kg) - Given I came back from Barcelona 3kg heavier, this isn't as bad as it looks!

Target 1, 15/03/2018: 63kg.

That target isn't going to happen. Maybe 64kg is possible, but who knows. Might be time to actively restrict some calories rather than focus on performance.

2018 General Targets
* Pullups x 10 (sounds like nothing, but my shoulders have been screwed for years so I keep injuring them as my numbers increase).
* Bench Press x 5 @ body weight (see previous shoulder issue).
* Squat 1RM @ Double body weight.
* Dragon Flag x 5.
* Getting back to Leadville fitness levels.

As heavy as I am vs what I was, my bigger problem right now is that my cycling fitness is completely gone. Really depressing.

Just weighed myself after 7 days of being different.
Loss of 4lb and 1/2 an inch off chest measurement.
BTW I'm doing this in conjunction with my 2018 goal of riding every day for a year. If you want to follow me on #naffas365cyclingchallenge then I'm on Instagram -username naffa71 or Strava - username Nathan Jones.

Will add you Naffa. :-bd

BTW what do you count as a ride for your streak? I've thought about it. I've seen people count 30min, 60mins, 10km, 10miles and other metrics as their minimum.

Also, can you give me your actual weight, start and 4lb off? Great start. :cool

That's 28 people signed up!
Next weigh-in is Friday 12th January, or there-abouts (what ever works best for you).
Well done those that started early and have already registered a loss :-bd

3rd time lucky trying to post this.
I've no distance or time goals whatsoever. Just to ride consistently. Some days it might just be my commute of under 3 miles other days it will be much more. Just gonna ride.

I've been too busy working to get on the trainer. :(

Irrelevant anyway, I'll easily put on half a stone at cafe racer.

Not seen if the plan is to update the original weigh-in post or to post each time in a new one?

So I've done both ;)

5-1-18 - 111kg or 244.5lbs
12-1-18 - 110.5kg or 243.6lbs

I'll take that.

Some good riding, some beer at the pub, some LCHF and some cheating.

5/10 - must try harder!

Cheers Gairym. 1lb a week is 52 in a year and especially if you've not been that strict that's spot on.

253.4lb for me so down 6.6lb in total :-bd

I have been very good on the low carbs and no cheating despite loads of crap smiling at me at work.

Just post your weight each weigh-in in this thread, and if you want your overall loss. I'm putting them all in a spreadsheet anyway.

Its easier for me to find the new weight if its post in this thread here each Friday, or thereabouts.

Still on holiday. Back to work on Monday and last of Christmas treats will be taken there away from me.
Back to work. Eating better.

Weight 87.9kg. Heading in right direction.

1/1/18 79.4 kg
12/1/18 77.6 kg :-bd

As I'm trying to change habits held in the long term, for the future long term, I'm using my Chrimbo Fitbit to log activity and calories in, to try and get my head round what is an appropriate amount to eat (and to remind myself of the cumulative impacts - rather than a oh it's only one whatever it won't matter), as well as thinking about the health impacts of what I eat.

While I'm re-educating myself, I'm aiming for a 500 cal a day deficit, but am actually currently in a larger deficit as I try and get to a good balance. A 14 mile a day round trip commute on the bike helps, as does not drinking... My dry-Jan in 2016 is now looking pretty permanent - Although never a big drinker - I'm surprised how little I miss it..... and feel better for it.

however, and whatever, you're doing - keep at it all.

01/01 73.6kg (162.3lb)
05/01 72.4kg (159.6lb)
12/01 71.6kg (157.9lb)

total -2kg (4.4lb)

I've come to the conclusion alcohol has been making me flabby

Not a great week but I stayed at 128.3kg. Almost no bike time but lots of walking, still not totally strict with my eating but making better choices.

Hi groovers,

Lots of encouraging words from you all. We can do this!!

This week: 244lb

My stats:
03/01:247
05/01: 246
12/01: 244
Loss so far this year: 3lb - slow and steady!

Dry Jan: Not missing the booze - actually really enjoying being off it
Still got to do more exercise - only really doing one ride a week.
Watching what I am eating - avoiding the high sugars
Drinking a large glass of water before each meal seems to make me feel more full
