cumulus quilt help

gone and bought a cumulus quilt vaguely exciting piece of kit only 500g
just wondering how you fasten the quilt to the sleeping pad,in the stuff sac was some longer elastic cord and toggles
does anyone have pictures of there set up.

I never bother, I simply pull it over myself and somehow it usually stays put.

Same for me unless it's really cold.

Loop the elastics under the mat like a figure eight and tighten them up.

I did start out using the elastics as per the images on Cumulus' website but now just let the quilt drape over me.
Better weight than wisdom, a traveller cannot carry

Just one loop under the mat, Matt, usually seems to be around thigh level not pulled particularly tight, has been enough to keep it in the right position while I toss and turn.

I put my mat inside a sleeping bag liner to ease the clammy feeling of sleeping directly on the mat.

No elastic here and I stay covered

3 elastic lengths on both of mine
2 long go around mattress
2 shorter (in the middle) goes on top of the mattress.

Well done to John Climber for correctly putting that into simple words.
It takes a while to suss it out but once, you do it seems so right.
Irrelevant now - I'm trying to toughen myself up and go without mattress. :sad: :shock:
