BB200 recce' ... you lucky people.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Anyone riding this years BB200 may be glad to know that following a few days of investigation and over 50 miles walked, I've hopefully found the last piece of the puzzle. I can now link some of the nicest / most interesting descents ever to feature in a BB200 together in an almost seamless fashion. Still need to decide whether you'll see this lovingly crafted section on your way 'out' or way back 'in' ... way out would likely mean you'll be in a better position to 'enjoy' it but way in probably means I'll get far less grief because you'll all be in a much better mood than you might otherwise be

Very good

Actually my 50 miles probably equates to about 20 miles of actual riding. Most of these sections don't show up on any map so I had some fairly long walks in and out to look at bits I suspected might be there and of course ... many dead ends and back-tracks.

There will be a catch; wouldn't be BB200 without a string in the tale and a kick in the nuts.

I was trying to explain the BB200 to some of the XC racers at Leadville.

Suffice to say most of them couldn't understand why I do them...

If I lived near Colorado, I might not be in such a rush to go riding in Wales either...
