French Divide 2017 Confusing dot watching

Post by pistonbroke »

This year's event has featured staggered starts over 3 days which means that the first rider over the line isn't necessarily the winner. They are trying to avoid the Peloton effect of a mass start but have succeeded in confusing the hell out of me and Trackleaders. The first rider crossed the line yesterday teatime and the second is about to but he started a day after, Steve Heading was in the last wave so could still get on the podium despite having 300km still to go. As they said in the tv series Soap, confused? You will be!

Why? The 'peloton' split up pretty quickly last year.

Is the French divide an unsupported event?
