Having kitted myself out for last year's TNR with a bunch of Alpamayo bags and a weight/cost compromise go outdoors coffin tent, Decathlon sleeping mat and a 1/2 season bag, I have all the kit I reasonably need.
But...I'm a cruel parent and am dragging the 15 year old (who is actually quite keen) for 7 days exploring Normandy.

Limited budget and I need to put together a second set of kit...

As I have a small light 1 man tent and have never done the bivvy tarp thing, it's probably about time I did; these two item probably need to be higher quality/lower weight than the rest as will likely become primary kit

half frame bag
top tube bag

all for under £200

flat route so weight not too important

A tarp for two? Alpkit, rhymes with pig 7. There's cheaper but they're generally PU rather than Sil' so are heavier and pack bigger.

If you don't need them urgently, have a look on Aliexpress for 3f UL gear, I recently got a 3x3m silnylon tarp for about £30 delivered. Weight is about 500gr and took 2 weeks to arrive.

Naturehike for inflatable pads, although I've not personally used them.

For cheap bike luggage there's the Roswheel stuff but quality isn't that great, you're better off getting some of the Deuter stuff off Wiggle or CRC.

I have 4 weeks so time is in my favour if i act now, just need a bivvy bag to go with.

jumped on a £13 Roswheel 8l seay pack for the lad yesterday, it's likely to get used no more than twice so doesn't need round the world robustness.

Alpkit Hunka is the default low-cost bivy option. The really cheap ones (eg Mountain Warehouse) are unlikely to be properly breathable so you'll end up soaked.

Charlie TBM is having a clear out, including the Topeak half frame bag for about £25. He's also got some top tube bags going cheap, Topeak, blackburn.
Someone on here is flogging a karrimor xlite mat, it's cheap n cheerful but good value as long as you don't need lots of insulation.

J, I bought a Hunka last year whilst weighing up (literally) what to take on TNR, before deciding once and for all on the micro tent. You could borrow it if only I could find it again.

Drybags strapped straight to the bars work well, as does a cheap rack plus kit on top

I'll try, but I've been looking for it for months! Perhaps I sent it back but I don't remember doing so and I've no refund email from them. Unless I've been the victim of a very focused burglary I'm mystified.
