Travelling with CTC bike bags

Post by whitestone »

I know some on here use them but this thread http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic ... -poly-bags on STW would indicate that for some routes at least it will no longer be an option.

I'll wait for the official notice, I've never had an issue or had the method even questioned.

I'd take most things on STW with a pinch of salt. Its just like overhearing some bloke in the pub....

See if anything official comes out

I know at least in Scandinavia, bikes must be in a cardboard box or an "proper" bike box - plastic bags are not allowed.

If you do manage to get a bike on a flight over here and its not in a box, you get a sticker on the bag, warning not to do it again and some bobbins about its not insured so don't try to make a claim against your insurance as you violated the terms of use etc.
