Stu, will you still be taking orders up to the weekend?
We've another week yet.

I'd be tempted to say an XL might be a touch roomy (although should still fit okay) with a 39" chest. I'm a 40" chest and am wearing a L in the pics

Ta, I'll go for large then. Now got to think of whether I need my name on it or whatever!

Oreet Stu, can i ask, have you tried a medium Gilet for size? and how did it compare to the large you are wearing in the pic? the large looks a bit baggy on ya and it felt a bit baggy on my waist when i tried it too, would the medium be much smaller or just a bit? im torn as i'd hate to get the wrong size and im not keen on a baggy waisted top either .... Thanks, Confused of Wigan

Dear Confused,

Given that there's nowt of you and you have the physical attributes of a starved whippet training for a marathon, I'd suggest a medium would suit you best. As you've noted, the large is a little roomy on me and the garments do afford a certain level of 'give'.

Love,

Medium should fit me well, large was a bit roomy. I have no idea how tiny you'd need to be to get into a small.

For info., I'm 44" Chest / 36" Waist / 72" Tall and the XXL jersey fits me what I would call 'comfort fit', i.e. not race tight but not flappy loose. HTH.

Just had a browse through the suppliers site.

I quite fancy a one of their triangular bandanas in a Bearbones stylee. Maybe next time...?

Is there a way to check what I've put to go on the back? I ordered mine in a rush the night before headed up country for my YD300 ITT and given how well that went (see write up) I'm wondering if I managed to spell my name right

Typical, close to between sizes.
measure chest across nipples over top of a t-shirt.
37 ish inches.
usually wear a medium t-shirt

what size do people recommend?

If you wear a medium T shirt I'd order a large jersey unless you want it to be 'roadie tight'. If you do, go for a medium.

Orders will be closing in the morning. This is possibly your last ever chance to own this particular design ... until 2026 when I'll re-launch it as part of the Bear Bones Retro collection.

I really want a gilet but I'm not sure I get on with a unisex garment - do any ladies have one already
