Rigid fork for SolarisMAX

Hmm, thoughts have moved to the possibility of riding the outer Hebrides but my SolarisMAX has 120mm suspension forks and B+ rubber.

I'd already been contemplating a second set of wheels in 29er flavour... But it would make sense to have a set of rigid forks as well (would come in handy for the B+ wheel set too).

So, it needs to be Boost and (according to Cy @ Cotic) an atoc of 490-500mm. Not overly fussed about material (steel would be fine, as would carbon). Don't want to break the bank mind. Wouldn't object to having mounts for cages neither.

Anybody got any ideas or recommendations?

Bob/Whitestone is running rigid carbon forks on his Mk1 Solaris. I think they're Travis Prong forks, he has a B+ set up, don't know if they're boost though

Correct, they are Travers 29er Prongs, non-Boost. A quick check and it seems like they are now Boost compatible with adapters for Hope hubs if you are still running 100mm hubs http://www.traversbikes.com/store.html# ... y=15761046

I think the A2C on my carbon rigid boost forks is 495mm. I'm not at home for a couple of days or I'd go measure it for you.

I'm sorry.

To the best of my knowledge none of the Salsa forks are Boost spaced at the moment - most are 483mm.

I don't think On-one/PX do one.

Surly do a Krampus fork at 110 spacing - http://surlybikes.com/parts/forks/krampus_110_fork but it is 483mm length.

Surly a possibility (although casual google it looks might be a struggle to get a hold of one...).

Being reasonably cheap might be prepared to take a punt...

We have these :

Steel - 485 ATC - 46mm offset, lowrider mounts, anything cage mounts, internal dynamo routing, tapered steerer, 110x15 bolt-thru

or the carbon ones on this :

Carbon - 490 ATC - 51mm offset, no mounts, 110x15 bolt-thru

Shorter ATC than recommended but fork length on a suspension bike is always going to be a slightly vague affair!

Those carbon forks that Steven offers appear to be the same as those I bought. If I'd known I could get them in the UK I'd have taken that option.

I have both the travers prong and the Singular Swift fork - Both can take 29+

What was the end result on this then... what boost forks did you go for??

Sorry for late reply response I was busy the weekend and consumed more alcohol than I intended...

Simple answer: nothing so far. But I'm pretty much decided on the Prongs, just need to order them up... cash has been spent on other things recently....

Hey. Thanks for that buddy. We can compare notes on how they ride on rigid aswell as hopefully front sus next year some time. I opened up the thread about whats the best rogid fork and yeah it does seem that Prongs are coming out as the number 1s...

I have a Sonder Transmitter frame that I'm trying to build and after spending so much on the frame am trying to save a few pennies. Hence, whilst I was looking and saving for the Prongs, I came across some RS Reba Boost 120mm on fleabay for 200. Bought them as the backup for when I fancy a rest from full on rigid. Hopefully it will be the best bike (although its gonna be hard to beat the IndyFab Delux) I've owned so far... Keep us all informed about how the Cotic comes on too pls bud
