Is this a bike packing event i.e. are we expected to sleep over at some point during the 170km? Can't see any reference to 'sleeping/bivi' etc. on the website.

All in a day slightly... To Germany (not all of it) and back. A bit like the Dirty Reiver in Keilder earlier in the year where fast riders were doing around 25km/h over 200km. I plan on a moving average of around 16km/h so about 11 hours or so + stoppages. I will be set up to avoid punctures (unlike many at the Reiver) which seemed to cost lots of time on narrower tyres

I have an entry that I probably won't make due to overbooking myself  I'm also entered into the YD200 and the Scott MTB marathon the previous two weekends. The the following weekend it's off to Southern Spain with the GF for an 8 day CTC Tour

If anyone wants to take my place, I'm open to all offers

Bugger! Thought/wanted this to be a camping out type thingy. Can't justify the travelling for a one day slog (plus I wouldn't make the time limit). I entered - if any BBer wants mine they can have it gratis. PM me to see if we can transfer details.

There is no event site camping. Looks like it's fend for yourself. Oh and its Belgium weather but it looks very much like Welsh weather to me
