Rechargeable batteries & charger recommendation...
Still not sorted batteries for my Oregon yet.
Can someone recommend a battery/charger?
Looking at Eneloops combo for ~£28 as benchmark.
Don't mind spending a couple of quid more now if it's worth it...

Give the dirt a little room.

My charger is a nitecore i4, not the best in the world but it lets me charge 18650s too so is very handy
Had it for years and has been very reliable

I was going to recommend exactly what Ben said - and I came to this conclusion seperately from Ben (amusingly we were talking to Jameso, and when one of us disappear, the other would re-appear and just repeat what the other had said )
I'd actually be tempted by the nitecore D4 charger now - seems to be a bit smarter (charging logic), but only really worth it if you're fiddling with li-ion batteries too.

Cool, thanks for the info.
Is it worth stumping up for the eneloops pros? Or are the 'classic' white ones good enough?

If you have a Cosco card they've got an Eneloop batteries + charger pack in some stores atm.
There's 8xAA's + 4xAAA's & a basic Panasonic BQ-CC51 charger, all for £22.18

I'm using a Youshiko YC4000 charger and Amazon Basic NIMHs. They're only rated at 2400mAh but seem to charge higher than that.
The charger has rescued a few older 7DS batteries which I overall found a bit variable.

+1 for Eneloops. I just have the white ones and they are very good.

Ikea Ladda are quite good for a budget option (£5.50 for 4)
