3 Ways Tour, Scotland, 320 miles.

Post by Ray Young »

Been planning on putting this together for a while and hope to get to ride it this year sometime. It incorporates The Rob Roy Way, The West Highland Way, The Great Glen Way, The Great Trossachs Path (a new one on me) and a joining section from Inverness to Aberfeldy going through The Cairngorms National Park. It does include the nasty bikehike section along Loch Lomond i'm afraid. I plan to ride it clockwise starting at Blair Atholl (nearest and easiest train station for me).

This is the edited version including the GGW high level route, the start/finish point on this version is Fort William.

Have you considered the high level options for the GGW? A bit more climbing but the views are rewarding.

A small prize to the person who links all of the Scotland ITT routes up into one massive epic that out epics all the others!

Jings stop giving Ray ideas, I've heard his borders route is tough enough without bolting on ht, cl,ct etc!

I have now edited the route in my first post to include the GGW high level route, I have also changed a section of the Great Trossachs Path. This version of the route has it starting in Fort William but you can of course start it anywhere.

That would be deserving of a quite big prize I think!

Although kind of a shame to link them as they are all perfect as they are.
