Anyone got any suggestsions for a York to Hebden route? Ideally as off road as possible, but doable in 2(?) days?

I'm a bit lost once it gets past Leeds.

Exciting or boring? You can canal nearly the whole way to here.

If I was going to wish for a unicorn on a stick, then I'd go for 'exciting with a boring bail out option'. Something with some singletrack would be great, but ideally no hike-a-bike.

My suggestion would be to miss out Leeds completely, as you'll get caught up in the urban sprawl.

Have a look at:
Quiet roads out of York to Harewood (limited off road options)
Over to Otley Chevin
Baildon to Saltaire
Bingley > Cullingworth > Oxenhope
Various routes into Hedben depending on how technical/more climbing you want the route to be.

If you can get yourself to Baildon, I have a route we used for the TdF trip you could have

Thanks Chew, that's really useful, I'll take a look over the weekend when I've got the time to break open the big maps.

If you're heading from York to Harewood, you can pick up this a mostly off-road route from Spofforth:
