There are some words for travel lovers that describe these beautiful feeling perfectly. These travel words are literary wealth which has been picked from languages around the world.So get ready to add some unfamiliar words to your collection of vocabulary.

1.Vagary (v.)

Origin: Latin
Pronunciation: va·gar·y
Meaning: A whimsical or traveling journey.

2.Livsnjutare (n)

Origin: Swedish
Pronunciation: livsnju-ta-re

Origin: Greek

Spamtastic maybe but go on then, good a subject as any, I'll bite.

'Flaneur'

As per my sig, anyone can do 'big travel' these days and it takes more gumption (what a word) to go in the 'other direction', ie smaller scale. You could get as much cultural enlightenment chatting to someone in the pub in Barrow-in-Furness for ten minutes than you could on a two-week 'travel experience' in Thailand.

Anyway, 'flaneur'. Loafer, boulevardier, idler, moocher. Oh, that's five.

All of them entirely applicable to bikepacking in my favourite form of the pastime.

Now where's my tortoise on a leash gone....

'Route to enlightenment' - good one, had crossed my mind too. The thread's bending to the quasi-religious now. Follow the Way of the Bikepacker, Grasshopper...
