North East Italy/ Dolomites - Bikepacking Route

Post by Scott L »

Hello all,

An appeal to the collective... does anyone have route ideas or experience in the this region? On my tour I am trying to get from somewhere around the Slovenian Italian Border (probably Udine) to Val di Sole in Trento.

Will be on a 'gravel/monstercross/adventure/....' style bike. So ideally not 100% tarmac.

No experience, but here's a starter for ten from my favourite routing site:

Don't know if this is of any help, but Giancomo posted some great pics of a route he did in that area last year.
The Bikepacking.com link further down the thread could also be useful-

Maybe even worth a pm to Gian..
