Any pointers would be ace.
Just picked up some waterproof fabric and keen to give it a go...

I always thought that incorporating shockcord into the the top edges would help keep the things bathtub shaped ... this is pure speculation though. However, making sure that the corner pull-outs, pull from both the top and bottom makes a big difference to how well they stand up.

Can you fold / stitch Tyvek in to a bathtub shape? Or is Tyvek flat only?

It could be done but I wouldn't bother, especially as Tyvek isn't 100% waterproof ... you'd be better with Thermawrap on both counts.

Hah!! I just realised what this thread is about. I had images of you making an actual bath out of some lightweight waterproof material, and somehow fashioning it into shape on a bivvy night. My dad brought one back from a trip to Vietnam the Oz government said would be good for him in the late 1960s. Looked a bit like this.

I did start to wonder how many meths stoves would be needed to boil enough water to wash in, and then, oddly enough, what sort of travel towel you'd be packing. I shall fetch my coat. You lot carry on.
I'm just going outside ...

Another approach would be to suspend it from a tarp by some short sections of shock cord or, in order to keep out insects, midge netting.

I tried something similar a few years ago - the concept's a good-un.

The only problem with bathtub sheets (I have a rarely used BPW one), is that it also serves to act as a bath for any liquid

If you can keep free of drips or similar then they're quite good. I stopped using mine and niw use a bivy or nowt
