Makeshift (emergency) bivi bag

Post by DiscoStu »

Hi all,

I've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of my new bivi bag from Bespoke Ultralight but now fear its been lost in the post!!! Gutted.

What can I use on the #Jennride as a makeshift bivi bag? I'll be sleeping under a tarp in a 3 season bag. All suggestions need to be readily accessible between now and Friday night from localish shops etc!

Hi Stu. I've got a couple of spares (Rab Pertex & Goretex) if you want to borrow one. I can drop them off at registration; leave it there when you finish for me to pick up.

Thanks Chaps - Quimarche, that's a fine offer, thank you! Whichever is your least favourite/cheapest to replace please

I should be there handyish, planning to use the Wheelbase car park at the back, blue VW Passat estate and a sliver/grey/orange Whyte 629 with Chilli Alpkit bags.
