Frame bag costs

Post by robbie »

I need a couple of frame bags made. I have thought about giving it a go myself but to do a decent job what is it gonna cost roughly in materials?

Mine are made from this

https://www.profabrics.co.uk/collection ... 6809805251

It works out about £25/m and at 1.37m wide you should be able to get 2 out of a metre if you lay out the panels carefully. You also need to factor in zips and thread and then webbing and velcro to attach it if you make that style. You should be able to get all the materials for £50. The best thing to do would be to make the templates first to see exactly how much fabric you need and then make a list from there.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I didn't buy that, but bought a slightly lighter PU Nylon I think.
Ended up buying everything from profabrics, and inc postage it came to just over £50, and probably enough to make two.
