Pembrokeshire Aventuring

Post by Richard G »

So after finding out that the bridleways around the area are trashed I decided to go with a different plan for my trip to Pembrokeshire. So I've been "adventuring":

First time I've tried anything like this, and to be honest, I like it. I've seen so much stuff that I never would have seen otherwise. Some amazing sights, and some great riding (aside from all the bloody hills!). I just wish I'd brought my road bike and not my full on winter tyre shod mountain bike.

Finally got to hit up some mountain biking trails. Did the fun (downhill) bit of Gorlech and the full Derwen trails at Brechfa. This preceded and followed by some seriously big hills to get to and from my cottage.

Tried giving it full beans but my back was so painful after a while that I could only pedal standing up. :(

Still, great to be back on the trails. :)

Also, really not sure what this was about...

It's the fairy folk - very mystical that neck of the woods.
May the bridges you burn light your way

You have to lick a few of the local toads to be able to see them.

All done. Made my way to Aberporth for my last ride of the break. Wasn't a classic, but had some good points (beach was pretty cool). Can definitely recommend the coastline over here. :)

Crappy phone... sorry...
