3100ft bivvy

Post by summittoppler »

As per usual I bagged September near the end of the month which unfortunately has become a regular occurrence these last few months!

I made the 2500ft climb up to the summit of Foel Fras to check out a 'stone shelter' but it looked a tad damp for me. Decided on setting the tarp up alongside the wall near the summit at 3100ft. The weather was good on the way up, some fine views on show of northern Snowdonia.

Picked a sheltered spot....

And enjoyed the sunset. As the sun went down the Wicklow mountains were as clear as, and this is why I just love doing this poor show!

Cheers guys. Another bonus was seeing the Wicklow mountains in Ireland after the sun went down!
As for the weather, a lucky weather window falling on the last weekend is sweet. A bit of frost but well chuffed with my AK Pipedream 400, just need a decent tarp now and to know how to put it up!

Film coming soon....
