Fly fishing Verdon Gorge

Just spent a couple of stunning days fly fishing in the Verdon Gorge. I caught a couple of wild trout but they were too small to eat. I had my firebox just in case.
I think I must have scared off the bigger ones as I kept jumping into the rock pools for a swim. Swimming in the same water that you want to fish in is not the best idea.

Due to a very thick and steep forest, I had to put up camp across a well used animal trail. Big mistake. A noisy night with a couple of annoyed animals. Probably a bear and a wolf.

The following day I went off and did some amazing down hill descents, a bit aggressive on a loaded hardtail but fun. Apart from some very steep HABs with vicious rat-trap pedals.
