It's a beautiful self-contained area isn't it. I've had a few riding weekends there and Ian Barrington (of this parish) features a ride there on his Middle Ring all the Way website https://ianbarrington.com/2014/11/21/th ... #more-1143.
(Not sure about "burgeoning surfing scene" on the bikepacking.com site - I was surfing there in the early 70s and it was a strong scene then!)

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
