Wight weekend loop

Post by JohnClimber »

This last weekend several from on here met up for an Isle of Wight bivi weekend.

We had a loose plan to do a loop, Jim and I had an idea to try and ride to each corner, North, West, South then East which we did on a mix of quiet lanes and plenty of off road, Sean-IOW showed us some single track and advised on our route.
I've realised that this is my sort of riding, take your brain out, talk sh!te, have a laugh, take pictures, take in the sights and chill out.

Here are some to the many shots which I took

Great pictures John, good subject matter helps  For balance when I rode in to work this morning at 07:40 the visibility was down to about 500m due to the mist and my garmin said the temperature was only 15 degrees. I don't want people thinking it's always sunny here, just most of the time

Is that the Griffin with a maze in the beer garden? If so, we went there on a ride with the kids last year and it was great!

That's the one, in Godshill. It's nice there when the sun's out, only a 20 min ride from my house  mind you on the road bike every pub on the Island is within an hour of my house
