Re: A carbon Shand...
Reading the comments it seems that several points are at cross-purposes. That the frame is carbon isn't an issue. That the frame is produced in China rather than Scotland isn't an issue either. It's the fact the frame comes from a generic mould using the same standard carbon layup that's disappointi...

Re: Highland Trail race 2016
That's really helpful, thanks Javi. My mountain bike is singlespeed, but I do the vast majority of my training on the geared road bike. Knowing the details of the training you put in is extremely helpful if I decide to give this a go. Thanks again and congratulations on the podium finish.

Re: Highland Trail race 2016
Hi Javi, Thanks for writing that, it was good to read. Can I ask a few questions about your training? How many hours per week did you put in on average? Was all your training done off road and riding single speed? Did you mix in high intensity sessions or was your training all based on long and stea...

Re: Highland Trail 550 ride report
Thanks very mich for writing this account of your race Ian. Your description of being in that higher mental state is inspiring.
Those times when your fitness, technique, mindset and the challenge all perfectly come together are rare and very special.
Congratulations on a great ride.

Re: Britain's toughest race
Time trials whether it be cycling or running, like running a marathon, are very different to road racing. In a time trial event you are competing against the clock and you get set your own goal - completing the course in x amount of time etc. The route / terrain / parcours and the time target combin...

Try changing that to

Re: With the onset of winter ...
This year I think I finally 'got' riding without needing to push myself in any way or it be part of a plan leading to something more. There isn't more or next, just now, seems to be a healthier way to be on the bike. As someone whose rides are almost never relaxed, those are thought provoking words.

In hindsight I should have take that 'reviews are subjective' bit as granted, as should any readers re your recent review Greg. That's the trouble though isn't it? A large percentage of the buying public won't understand that ^ and will take a review at absolute face value unless it's been fully ex...

Ton, in the highly unlikely event that CM changes his mind AND you are open to just selling the shifters, I'd be interested.

FS / Swap: Large Singular Swift frameset
Large size Singular Swift frame and forks with Hope headset. Has covered approx 500km The frame is very good condition overall with just some rubbing on the inner seat stays. Some of the clearcoat frame protection has peeled from the forks. I have applied some lacquer over this, but obviously it's n...
