Re: Breakfast with a view.
I’ve heated crumpets in a (dry) frying pan, which, when you think about it is how crumpets are made. Funnily enough, I’ve just been looking at Trangia non-stick frying pans, though for frying sausages, not crumpets. But, what a good idea.

Cutting it very fine this month. Was going to go out this weekend but had (well didn’t have to, but you know how it is?) work so it’ll have to be a Halloween bivvy on Tuesday, come hell or high water. Photos probably follow in November.

Re: Todays ride
A quick final pint in a Stoke back-street boozer to discuss and mull over our rides, then it was back on the train to Milton Keynes. 'Reg' I always think that a “de-brief” at the end of a trip is, while not a highlight, a very pleasant way to round off the occasion. And… Some nice nostalgic picture...

Re: BB200 - a few thoughts.
You don’t have to be non-inclusive for people to feel excluded. Let me explain. Many years ago, when I was still riding my motorbike, (1957 BSA C12) I went a few times to a local-ish BSA Owners Club. They were definitely not non-inclusive, but I never really felt that I could fit in. They were commi...

Good luck to him! Good luck to him indeed. “Nature Tax” my daughter calls it. "Last month". You back now then Lu? I've lost track. I’m back. Flew back in on 11th Oct. 'T was a long Ride (740 miles - 19 days riding) and made longer by my losing my down hoodie and cycling back 26 miles each...

Where was the push up, was it in the Sierra Notre park on the track with new gravel chuncks then dirt before Almaden de la Plata? Or further noth of Caceres. That one, with the viewpoints at the top, was pretty horrible coming at the end of my first day, but not the one I meant. It was much later o...

Re: Ruta de la Plata
Anyone done the whole route on the walkers version, it’s dry now but if the rains come the mud will be an issue. Me, I've just ridden it.Though I should clarify that I was on Camino, so turned off the VDLP after Salamanca and followed the Camino Sanabres into SdC. As I understand it, the weather wa...

I've had 5 September BaMs but there's no point without the photos, so they'll have to wait (well 4 of them) until I get back; or find out how to get images from Goole photos.
Same is true for October BaMs.

Buen Camino. Thanks. It's going ok, but not without self-inflicted problems. I've lost a pair of cycling glasses, sun glasses, reading glasses, two eye masks and particularly testing this, a down hoodie. Testing because I thought I'd left it at a bivvy and cycled back 26 miles to get it to not find...

PS> There's hardly anybody in the BBB Pub this evening. I'm sat here in the corner with my flat cap on and a pint of mild talking to the pub dog. Is there some sporting event going on or summat? I'm here, though in foreign parts. Day 14 of my Camino, found a lovely spot albeit a bit noisy from the ...

The Plaça Major is Salamanca is a must see, one of the finest in Spain. You're telling me! I stood in the middle, absolutely gobsmacked. I'm staying in Salamanca today, for a rest and to do some sightseeing. Fair play, Spain has some beautiful places to see. It seems to have suddenly gone chilly in...

Yup. Got it in one. I hope my Arris hold out for the three weeks I've allowed. I bought some bum cream, but airport security bagged it. I had to get some "anti friction" cream from Decathlon. Haven't needed to try it yet. Tomorrow!

Now it's cheery but the week since Wednesday has been a bit sub-optimal. It started on the plane to Seville when I couldn't buy a G n T 'cause I'd left my cash card at home. The next day was spent trying to get my banks to let me get some cash out. They both kept blocking me and then I'd have to go...
