Re: bag weight
I just think if you say 'well it is only 100-200g' and you do that with everything you can add kilos without any trouble at all. Then what is the point in training and riding hard. Or spending money on a gucci groupset etc. It is just a very cheap way of saving weight I think.

Re: bag weight
I think nearly 200g is quite a lot of difference. Especially if that is front and back. As good as half a kilo. Just think it is an easy area to save weight, combined with sleeping bag, ground mat, tent/bivy etc. Marginal gains and all that. Ise use 8l dry bags front and back which only way about 20...

bag weight
Just wondering what peeps thoughts on bags are. A lot of guys seem to use the 'in one' type of bags like the Apidura/Ortlieb ones. These seem a nice design, and are tough, but is heavy compared to using a harness and a lightweight drybag. When A lot of guys are trying to shave off a few grams here a...

Re: Cumulus quilts
Thanks. Opted for the 150 as I will have a silk liner as well as merino pants and base layer and a insulated jacket in case it gets chilly pops in the hillier parts. Will let you know how it fairs.

Cumulus quilts
Getting one of their quilts for a summer trip through France into the alps. Taking a silk liner and trying to decide between the 150 and 250. Anyone have either and any reviews? Cheers.

Etrex data saving
Got an Etrex 30x. Has the W Europe basemap on it ( not on SD card).
Is there a way I can get it to save data to the SD card instead of its internal memory? That way it won't matter about it getting full up with 'activities'....
