Re: Todays ride

Felling very happy now, especially as I'm out on bike tomorrow as well. :-bd Weather was a crap but really enjoyed the solitude it provided. Only saw one other rider and a few walkers at the visitors centre while ea...

Henry Worsley, polar explorer.

Gutted to hear about the death of Henry Worsley to peritonitis just 30 miles away from an unsupported crossing of Antarctica. What a tragic loss, it puts my attempts at the peak ITT into perspective. I shall be using a podcast of his final transmission the next time that I think I'm suffering on my ...

This guy is doing a lap of the planet on a single speed ogre. http://markusstitz.com/2015/12/around-the-world-what-to-take/ He's just crossed America after a loop in Iceland. Good names for bikes?

This is a great name, Gnarvester, [nahr-vuh-ster] noun 1. any of various farm machines for harvesting gnar. It also looks quite cool, I like seeing a dirty bike. " http://carverbikes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/hero-bike-gnarvester-1.jpg Always thought that Rock Lobster was a great name also.

Mark, sorry to hear that mate. Hope you recover quick. Puts my slightly damp Arse issues into perspective.

Thanks for the advice folks. Looks like I'm going to have to torture a mud hugger with pliers and heat.

Re: Krampus/29+ rear mudguard?

Paul. What set up do you have on your Krampus? they ride well, but are heavy buggers. Hiya Dave. Your right it's a bit of a pig to get moving but once your rolling it's a hoot. It's also good motivation to not stop too often. I'm never going to be fast so I might as well be comfy and have a laugh. ...

Re: Krampus/29+ rear mudguard?

Cheers chaps, thanks for the recommendation. I've got a mud hugger on my xc bike. It's not a great fit on the Krampus, the cable runs are on top of the seat stays on both sides. May have to get a bit creative in fitting it.

Krampus/29+ rear mudguard?

Can anyone recommend anything for the back end when I've not got a seat pack on.
Can't believe how much more mud I'm coverd in after a ride with semi fat tyres on.

The Krampus is ace, should have brought one months a go.
